On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the team will be serving a hit-after-hit menu. Start with freshly shucked oysters and a prawn cocktail. Then move onto a crumbed-prawn sanga on house-made shokupan with Poodle’s drinkable Marie Rose sauce, or there’s a burger with a hulking mortadella patty, Comte, lettuce, pickles, onion and “special sauce”.
Other options include a dry-aged prime rib sandwich with cheddar-and-onion mornay; baked Parisian gnocchi laden with cauliflower and taleggio; and hand-cut French fries.
There’ll also be cocktails and mulled wine to-go.
