Yarra Valley Small Wineries Yarra Glen 3775
Price: $50
Spend a weekend in the Yarra Valley tasting more than 80 wines from family-owned vineyards at this huge winter festival.

After a two-year hiatus, Yarra Valley’s weekend-long winter wine festival – The Shortest Lunch – is making a grand return this June.

Twelve family-owned boutique wineries, including Payne’s Rise, Whispering Hills, Seville Hill and Yering Farm Wines, will be opening their doors, barrel rooms and sheds for unlimited tastings. There are more than 80 unique drops on offer across a range of varietals, including some of the region’s best small-batch and minimal intervention wines. And you’ll have access to exclusive cellar door specials if you want to take a bottle home with you.

Each winery will also be serving up specialty dishes from around the world. Try homemade ricotta gnocchi with traditional Napoli pomodoro and basil sauce at Billanook Estate; a seafood paella with chorizo and roast capsicum at Boat O’Craigo; or loaded Polish smoked kransky rolls with sauerkraut and cheese at Tokar Estate.

You’ll also get the chance to chat to the winemakers, catch live music performances at every venue, and take a souvenir wineglass home with you.

The Shortest Lunch takes place at Yarra Valley Small Wineries, on Saturday June 25–Sunday June 26. Tickets are $50 and include unlimited tastings and a souvenir wineglass.
