Jetty Road Brewery Lorne
When Jetty Road Brewery opened in Dromana in 2018, its easy-going space, approachable menu and sizeable roster of freshly brewed beers made it an instant hit. If the Dromana brewery has one problem though, it’s that it’s a little bit out of the way – past the freeway, tucked away among other warehouses.
Jetty Road Lorne, right across the road from Lorne Beach, doesn’t have the same issue. The taphouse (it’s not big enough for on-site brewing) is in the space that used to house Cuda Bar, and takes full advantage of the old beer garden and its views of the surf.
Studio Y (The Mighty, Nick and Nora’s, Black Pearl) primped the outside area to give it a ’70s beach-bar feel. That theme extends inside too, with white walls, teal ceilings, timber fans and lighting.
The menu is all about beach classics. There’s a prawn bucket, lobster rolls, fish and steak specials, and plenty of other bites to share. Drinks are simple: all of the Jetty Road staples (including its flagship pale ale), plus a tight range of beach-y cocktails.
