If you’re heading to Bondi’s north end, Rocker should be at the top of your hit list, right between the golf club and Matt Moran’s North Bondi Fish. It’s one of the most versatile venues you’ll find on Campbell Parade; a place of bottomless brunches and Sunday sessions done right, with a Mediterranean vibe that can’t be beaten on a perfect Sydney day.

Given Three Blue Ducks' Darren Robertson and Stuart Toon (ex-Jamie Oliver) are behind the place, it’s no surprise the menu is a solid all-day affair. House-baked focaccia with confit garlic butter kicks things off, followed by rounds of tuna tartare and charred octopus with romesco. You’ll also find pastas like linguine spun with pan-fried scallops, and whole fish begging for a side of asparagus and whipped tahini.

On the bar side is a fleet of Margaritas shaken every way (we love the spicy pineapple number), followed by Negronis, spritzes and boozy slushies. The wine list – a fun, ever changing thing – strikes a fine balance between lo-fi and classic pours.

As for the space itself, it has an industrial edge softened with greenery, timber and leather. The space is divided into two parts, a light-timber dining room with sea-blue table tops and curtains at night, and a bar space with a long table in the centre, bar seating on one side and a series of small wall-mounted stone tables on the other.
