The Green Lion
A vegan restaurant in a historical Australian pub is unusual. But Bhavani Baumann and Sacha Joannou are happy to shake things up with their vegan restaurant, which is upstairs at the Red Lion Hotel. Fittingly named The Green Lion, it offers vegan takes on traditional pub meals. From fish and chips and “not dogs”, to vegan Big Macs. Every dish is cruelty-free and plant-based.
Rose Markcrow, head chef of Sadhana Kitchen helped to design the menu and is in the kitchen two nights a week. Raw Vine Estate, a wine company specialising in vegan blends supplies the wine.
