TITLE’s display windows are an eye-catching mix of books, films and records. They’ll have photographer Mario Testino’s famous Kate Moss print right next to a Frank Sinatra record, placed beside James Joyce’s Ulysses. It’s absurd, but makes complete sense.

That was founder Steve Kulak’s intention when he opened back in 2005. TITLE provides a space for obscure artists to shine. You can sift through records to find one-off albums recorded in a basement in New York City; soul jazz out of the UK; obscure Jamaican releases; or the new Radiohead.

The store gives customers an intimate space that’s different from the usual minimalistic retail experience. It’s as if you were looking through a collection in your own living room.
