Willow Virtual Retreat
In normal times, unplugging and unwinding usually means a holiday off the grid, a hotel staycation or an extended visit to the day spa. While all three are unavailable for now, a Melbourne wellness sanctuary wants to bring you the third experience, virtually.
It’s put together a two-day schedule of wellness, mindfulness and movement activities designed to help you recharge and reset after a long week, for the week ahead.
For Friday August 27, you’ll receive a recipe for a nutritious smoothie by Willow’s naturopath Steph Gobbo to start off your day; then there’ll be sessions for mindful yoga flow, how to make your own body scrubs and face masks, and a virtual cooking class with Gobbo and head chef Nick Cree, who’ll be whipping up a roasted cauliflower steak with shaved fennel, quinoa, tabbouleh, za’atar and pomegranate seeds with a tahini-harissa dressing.
On Saturday August 28, the team at Slow House Bondi will talk you through easy hot-cold therapy you can recreate at home, plus a breathwork ritual for busy mornings. Then there’s a yin yoga and meditation class, followed by a raw treat masterclass from Yoko Inoue of raw food cafe Shoku Iku.
The two-day retreat ends with a keynote speech by former Olympian Steph Prem, sharing her story of personal and professional wellness.
Access to both retreat days costs $120, or a single day pass costs $75. You can also join single sessions for just $30.
